Often called “European style”, frameless cabinets have been becoming more popular in the US as of late. Typically the US market has praised kitchen cabinets with a face frame, but trends are bringing frameless into the lime light. Frameless cabinets are sometimes referred to as “full access” cabinets due to the fact that they offer up to 20% more storage space.
So how do they get away with this? Well frameless cabinets are built out of higher-grade case material. This keeps the cabinet strong while ditching the solid frame. Therefore, frameless kitchen cabinets are slightly more environmentally friendly as they use less resources. Although frameless cabinets tend to be the way to go for more modern looking kitchens they can also be used for more traditional kitchens while keeping that extra storage.
